It's Jan Jeffcoat's first Halloween as a mother, and she's scared!

As parents, we teach our kids never to take candy from strangers or walk in the street, and then one day each year all bets are off in the pursuit of free candy corn.

These days you don't always know who - or what - is on the other side of the door, and it's sometimes just as scary for the person answering that door.
