On Matt Gallant's List: Pumpkins as art
With Halloween just a day away, host Matt Gallant wanted to share with you an amazing artist who takes pumpkin carving to the next level.
Sculptor Ray Villafane is a Grand Prize winner from the Food Network's annual Pumpkin Challenge. He carved an amazing 6-foot-tall zombie, now on display at the New York Botanical Garden.
Three pumpkins were used to build the art piece. One of them weighed more than 1,800 pounds.
“As a fellow sculptor, I cannot tell you how hard it is to make something look so real -- out of a pumpkin, no less!” said Matt.
Have fun carving your pumpkins this Halloween!
