Soccer in school not just after school
Specialty schools teach kids special skills
TULSA - The Tulsa Soccer Academy is giving kids a leg up on their sport. The TSC teamed up with Riverfield Country Day School to offer a fulltime student soccer program. Soccer is a part of the kids daily curriculum.
"In the morning the kids will be training soccer, in between that time they will have school, then after school they will have another soccer session." said Michael Nsien.
The idea is to let the students concentrate on their passion, the students enrolled in this program have the desire to play at the college level and beyond.
Countries around the world have similar programs but this is the first one in Oklahoma. Students get a top quality education while also getting the best in soccer training 5 days a week.
Franklin Pace is a freshman and is a part of the kickoff program for one reason, "practice more, learn more, play more." said Franklin.
