Over-the-top holiday lawn display helps feed less fortunate
Tulsa woman is the Clark Griswold of Tulsa
TULSA, OK - Most Christmas light displays can be set up in a matter of hours, but it takes a crew of three workers two weeks to put together Evelyn Burns' holiday lawn display. It's a lot more than a few strands of lights.
Evelyn Burns is the Clark Griswold of Tulsa. Her Christmas lawn display full of holiday inflatables attracts people from all over the city. She says she has more than 200 inflatables surrounding her house, and they include everything from a shivering snowman to a Yoda in a Santa hat.
Her display grows every year, and this year is no exception.
But when it comes to Christmas, she's not just Clark Griswold, she is also the Grinch -- the good Grinch at the end of the movie. This is because she is also spreading her holiday cheer onto the dinner tables of the less fortunate.

She asks those who tour her display to leave canned food items for her to donate to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Her recent Halloween display brought in enough donations to feed 500 families.
Her display at 1605 S. Cheyenne is open to the public on December 5, and she expects to double the amount of food donated.
