Tampa Bay children visit Santa
TAMPA, Fla. - It’s not even Thanksgiving, yet. There is no way that stores are decking out the halls and blaring Christmas music, right? Wrong! Stores all around country started putting up decorations last week including the International Plaza in Tampa which is decked out with lights and Christmas trees.
Even Santa has joined in the early festivities. He arrived last week and already has kids lining up to sit on his lap. Some parent’s thought it seemed a bit early to have Christmas decorations out, but they didn’t mind.
“It was a little shocking at first, but this is actually something fun for her to do while we shop, so it worked out well,” said Parent Charlene Culp.
It may the holiday cheer arrives earlier each year, but most seem happy about it.
“To me it’s a good thing, coming from Michigan; you kind of lose that sense of winter,” said parent Michael Beaver.
Darth Vader Visits LegoLand
Also on our list, a famous naughty film character. Darth Vader and his were at Legoland Florida on Friday. They were helping the theme park open its new Star Wars exhibit.
It took more than a million Legos to build several different scenes from the movies. Organizers say any Star Wars junkie will love the new exhibit.
