Baltimore's Mt. Washington Tavern open for business after fire
Halloween 2011 Rob Frisch looked out on multi-alarm fire that burned his beloved Mt. Washington Tavern to the ground.
“The day of the fire the builder was standing on the bridge with us before the sun even came up,” said Frish. “We just looked right at him and said, ‘hey there’s no question we’re going to rebuild. That’s all we know.’”
Fifty-three weeks later the tavern is once again the place to go. The eatery opens Tuesday November 6, 2012.

For the people who know it, you'll feel that warmth; but with a whole new attitude.
“We did zinc tops on the bar with mahogany wood,” said Frish. “As you work your way toward the back of the building, there’s a Chesapeake theme and a raw bar back there.”
There are four different rooms to the two-story tavern:
- Pimlico Room
- Chesapeake Room
- Shuffleboard Room
A grand opening party is scheduled November 21st at 8pm.
