Ravens vs. Colts playoff game spikes Ray Lewis shirt sales
BALTIMORE - The Ravens are ready for the playoffs. The dirty birds take on Indianapolis this Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium.
“There’s something about the Colts coming back to town that really digs deep for a lot of people,” said Ravens Zone’s Kenny Yates.
The Towson sporting apparel store can’t keep enough purple pride paraphernalia on the shelves.
“We have new shirts coming out every day. We have the ‘Luck stops here’ with the broken horse shoe on it. We have the one with the number 12 on the back ‘no luck’ instead of Andrew Luck . And then of course the Ray Lewis shirts as well,” Kenny said.
After 17-years with the Ravens, Ray Lewis is set to retire at the end of the season. So there’s a lot of demand for linebacker’s gear.
“They want those last bobble heads that they’re not going to see anymore. Or the ‘Festivus’ shirts that will become a tradition here,” said Kenny.
If you don’t have tickets to the big game you can always cheer them on from your couch.
“Go Ravens! We’re going to bring home the Super Bowl this year. We’re making a run. One more for Ray. One more for Ed. We’re doing it this year, not next year. The time is now!” said Kenny.
