Baltimore Magazine Green Spring Station with 'Shop Crawl'
LUTHERVILLE - The Baltimore Magazine “Shop Crawl” heads to Green Spring Station Wednesday, December 5. It’s a chance to find the perfect gift. Support ‘mom & pop’ shops and spend time with your girlfriends in Lutherville.
“We start at the gatehouse shops and you make your way through the Falls and Joppa concourse and the courtyard area,” said Baltimore Magazine Style Editor Hilary Geisbert. “We start out sipping champagne and shopping.”
Green Spring Station is home to the area’s largest selection of small locally-owned boutique shops. Hilary says this makes it the perfect place to bargain hunt while helping Baltimore businesses.
“We’re not only supporting these business but we’re keeping the money within our community,” she said.
“You start off with the champagne and you do a lot of shopping. All of the stores are taking 15 and even 25 percent off merchandise. There are even raffles and trunk shows,” Hilary said.
Here’s a sneak preview of Hilary’s Editor’s Picks posted on Baltimore Magazine’s website.
Hilary says you save more money and time when you know more about the person you’re shopping for.
“If they are very close to you then you know their fit, their style. You have a better idea of what would look great on them, and what they would really want,” advised the editor.
Gloves, socks and kitchen items top Hillary’s general gift list for people you aren’t too close to. She says matter who you’re shopping for, these boutiques have you covered.
“The great thing about boutiques is that everything is handpicked. So everything you see in the store is special, unique and one of a kind.”
