The Explorer: Christmas in London with Dickens, Winter Wonderland and high tea
It's holiday travel time and nothing says Christmas more than London, the home of Charles Dickens, lumps of coal and historic Hyde Park's annual "Winter Wonderland" festival.
WINTER WONDERLAND: One of London’s merriest Christmas traditions is the Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. Since 2007, the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has provided the atmosphere of a fair and the promise of holiday cheer to even the most scrooge-like visitors.
DICKENS WALKING TOUR: Next on our list of holiday things to do in London is the Charles Dickens Walking Tour. There is also Dicken’s World that features actors, authentic costumes and sets. Or, if you happen to be there on Christmas Day, you can listen in on a reading of “A Christmas Carol” at the Dickens Museum.
SAVORY HOTEL: Rest those weary feet and experience a true taste of London at the Savoy which was built in 1889. As a guest you'll have an authentic British experience with all the luxury and decadence you're entitled to like afternoon tea served in traditional fashion with freshly baked scones, finger sandwiches and of course, tea.
