For October 16, here are our headlines from around the world.
SCOTLAND: First we go to Scotland where they had a monster monsoon. Blokes were building rafts with logs instead of hurling them, and sea monsters were peeking up from puddles as streets were turned into Class 5 rapids after a month's worth of rain fell in just 48 hours.
People were stranded in cars and houses, and natives switched to shorter kilts as they waited for the storm water to subside.
CHINA: When you think of racing on stairs you probably think of Sylvester Stallone in Rocky or maybe Slinkies, but in China, they're using stairs to race motorcycles. Ninety-nine motorbike riders from China and Thailand competed in the Yungyang International Stairway Racing Festival.
CYPRUS: Finally to Cyprus and the 5-star spa Almyra Hotel. They specialize in something we all need. It's something that has become elusive, exotic and almost unattainable -- sleep! The Almyra offers a 7 night program called the Week of Sleep for Exhausted Parents.
Everything there is about creating the ideal conditions for sleep -- from the uncomplicated décor, fresh breezes off the Mediterranean, to their spa and yoga programs. Best of all, when you wake up, you won't trip over a Tonka truck.
