The Explorer: Kayaking over waterfalls, the Red Bull divide and space
Scaling the summit of adventure, here are the top three things on The Explorer.
WATERFALLS: Considering a vacation that includes taking a kayak over the edge of an enormous waterfall filled with raging icy water? Thanks to our friends at Pilot Collective Media, we can see how it looks like as kayakers taking on some of the highest waterfalls in Chile.
TRANSIT OF VENUS: You may remember the Transit of Venus on June 5. That was when our neighbor-planet passed between the Earth and the Sun. Though it wasn't something that affected us, a new NASA video shows the event in an amazing ways, which some astronomers described as like watching a pea roll across a plate.
RED BULL DIVIDE: Finally, we go to Canada's gorgeous west coast and the Red Bull Divide and Conquer. This is a race carved out of some of the world's most wild and unspoiled terrain. It’s like a triathlon, but the events are mountain running, mountain biking and whitewater kayaking -- all happening in cold, slippery, muddy wilderness.
