It’s time to start planning for the weekend. Here’s what’s new in theaters on Friday:

Two moms risk everything to turn-around their children’s inner city school in the film, “Won’t Back Down.”  It’s a powerhouse female cast of struggling moms, adorable kids and a plot about beating the odds.  We predict this one could be up for an Oscar.  In the meantime, if you do go see it, pack some tissues. You may need them.

There will less weeping and more creeping in “Hotel Transylvania” which also opens this weekend.  The animated comedy is about a hotel run by a vampire.

Also in theaters this Friday is the sci-fi thriller “Looper.” This movie stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing a young Bruce Willis.

And finally, we’re already singing the praises of “Pitch Perfect.”  Who would have thought the public would be jazzed about a college a Cappella movie, but they are.

Have a great movie weekend!
