About Teresa Strasser

Teresa Strasser

Teresa Strasser is an Emmy-award-winning writer (Comedy Central's "Win Ben Stein's Money") and Emmy-nominated television personality (TLC's "While You Were Out") who now hosts The List.

Radio and podcast audiences likely know her best as the long-time co-host of The Adam Carolla Show, syndicated nationally.  As a journalist, she is a three-time recipient of the Los Angeles Press Club Award.  Her bestselling first book, "Exploiting My Baby" (Penguin) was optioned by Sony Pictures Television and ABC in 2012.

On the subject of lists, says Strasser, “You are either angry that the thing you love isn’t on the list or you’re validated because your thing is on the list. Either way, it’s always something to talk about.”

Other television credits include serving as a field correspondent for WNYW-TV’s Good Day New York and for Fox shows Good Day Live and On Air With Ryan Seacrest.

Strasser also co-hosted How to Get the Guy for ABC and helped launch TMZ TV.

Strasser has appeared on numerous countdown shows, mainly for E! Network, and has written for In Touch Weekly and Us Weekly.

About Conor Knighton

Conor Knighton

Conor Knighton joins The List as their consumer reporter after years working as a news and pop culture analyst.

Over the years, his commentary has been featured on CNN, HLN, MTV, TV Guide, E!, Oxygen and CBS and KNBC.

“If I were making a list of all of the qualities I’d like to see in a newsmagazine, The List would have all of the boxes checked,” said Knighton.

Knighton may be most known for his work on Current TV, where he was part of the original creative team behind the launch of the cable network. As the first person to appear on air, Knighton went on to host/produce three different successful news/comedy franchises for the network. Conor served as the executive producer and host of Current’s first half-hour show, infoMania, a weekly comedic look into the world of news, popular culture, and politics. Developed with Madeleine Smithberg (co-creator, The Daily Show), the show quickly became Current’s most popular regular series, described by Esquire Magazine as a show “every man should watch."

Knighton also wrote the original pilot for Google Current, the world’s first television program to use internet search data as a way of reporting on world events.

Knighton continues to be a contributor for CBS Sunday Morning and recently hosted the Biography Channel show My Viral Video.

AMC also tapped Knighton to host the The Movie List, a weekly countdown of favorite films and cinematic trivia.

An avid traveler, Knighton has also produced pieces from Pushkar, India and Dubai, UAE.

Born in Charleston, West Virginia, he is a graduate of Yale University.

About Matt Gallant

Matt Gallant

Emmy-award-winning Matt Gallant brings his engaging personality, energy and timing each night on The List.

Gallant is best known as the host of the Animal Planet’s popular series, The Planet’s Funniest Animals, and ABC's primetime reality show American Inventor.

“Here’s my LIST of why I wanted to work on ‘The List’,” said Gallant.  “I got tired of Facebooking;  I was broke from buying too many Justin Bieber posters; I Like to write lists to deal with my short term memory loss; I thought living in Phoenix would help with my allergies; and I knew Jan, Teresa and Conor’s talent would rub off on me and make me look good! “

Gallant was raised in Westport, Connecticut and Salisbury Beach Massachusetts where he opted for sports rather than performing. Gallant attended the University of Rhode Island and majored in communications, envisioning a career as a sportscaster.

Gallant’s big break came in the form of not one, but two jobs for MTV. He hosted MTV’s original live show, Hangin’ with MTV, and the magazine-style program Like We Care.

Gallant was the commencement speaker at the University of Rhode Island in 2004, and received an honorary Doctorate of the Arts from the University for his fundraising work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Matt has been a volunteer for Make-A-Wish for more than nine years, and held a long running successful charity-bowling event to raise both awareness and funds for the Make-A-Wish of Greater Los Angeles.
